At Outlinx we’ve aspired to build our Services with a strong respect for your privacy in mind. Outlinx is not in the business of selling or renting your information to any third parties for advertising purposes.
Outlinx provides our users with the ability to generate digital note pages and comments and link that content to Outlinx QR codes. Our Privacy Policy helps explain our information practices. We talk about what information we collect and how this affects you. We also explain the steps we take to protect your privacy.
When we say “Outlinx,” “our,” “we,” or “us,” we’re talking about Outlinx and/or Yap Lab LLC. Yap Lab LLC is the parent company of Outlinx. This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) applies to the Outlinx mobile App, Outlinx Labels, and our website (together, “Services”) unless specified otherwise.

Information We Collect

Outlinx receives or collects information when we operate and provide our Services, including when you install, access, or use our Services.

Information You Provide When Using the Mobile App or Website.

Your Account Information (App Only). When you sign up for an account with Outlinx and use the mobile app, we collect some basic personal data. The personal data that we collect depends whether you sign up for Outlinx using an email account or a third party service, such as Google or Facebook. If you sign up using an email address, we collect your full name and email address at the time of creating an account. If you choose to sign up using a third party service such as Google or Facebook, we will receive personal data via that third party service that might include your full name and profile photo. You can stop linking your Outlinx account to a third party service at any time.

Camera (App Only). You must grant Outlinx permission to access the camera on your mobile device to use our Services. The camera is used to scan and recognize Outlinx Labels. In addition you can choose to allow Outlinx access to your photos in order to upload images. We will only access and collect images, and related metadata such as file type, that you choose to post to the Outlinx Application.

User Content (App Only). We built Outlinx to provide users with the ability to quickly and easily retrieve the notes and comments they have generated and linked to Outlinx Labels. Our Service allows you to input, upload, or store into Outlinx any text, images, videos, and comments that you choose (as long as it complies with our Terms) - we refer to this information as “User Content”. You have control over the User Content that you create. This means you can edit and delete the content you generate and link to an Outlinx Label. Please be aware that ALL User Content linked to an Outlinx Label is fully viewable by any User that satisfies these 2 conditions; 1) they have the app installed on their mobile phone, and 2) they have physically scanned the Outlinx Label. There is nothing in our software that allows you to restrict the access of other Users to your Content, but you do have control over who can view your Content with your choice of label placement. Outlinx provides Users with no way to access User Content linked to a Label they have never physically scanned. No one at Outlinx will view your User Content unless (i) you expressly give us permission, (ii) it’s necessary to comply with our legal obligations, or (iii) it’s necessary to identify and resolve issues. Payment Info (Website Only). If you purchase Outlinx Labels on our website, you provide your payment information, including your name, credit or debit card number, card expiration date, CVV code, and billing address. We do not store this payment information. We store your shipping address to fulfill your order. Note that third-party payment processors may retain this information in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms.

Customer Support (App & Website). You may choose to provide us with information related to your use of our Services, including reporting other Users’ misuse of the system.

Automatically Collected Information

Usage and Log Information (App & Website). We collect service-related, diagnostic, and performance information. This includes information about your activity (such as how may Outlinx Labels you control and when you comment or like other User’s notes), log files, and diagnostic, crash, website, and performance logs and reports. This data may be collected in aggregate form to help us improve our Services. For example we may keep track of metrics such as; how long is the average note, how many users add images, how many users add or reply to comments, etc…

Transactional Information (Website Only). If you purchase Outlinx Labels through our website, we may receive information and confirmations, such as payment receipts, from third parties processing your payment.

Device and Connection Information (App & Website). We collect device-specific information when you install, access, or use our Services. This includes information such as hardware model, operating system information, browser information, IP address, mobile network information including phone number, and device identifiers.

Cookies (Website Only). We use cookies to operate our website, to improve your experiences, understand how our website is being used, and customize our website. For example, we may use cookies to understand which of our FAQs are most popular or to remember your choices, such as your language preferences, and otherwise to customize our website for you.

Third-Party Information

Third-Party Providers. We work with third-party providers to help us operate, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market our Services. For example, we work with companies to distribute our apps, host our website, provide our infrastructure, delivery and other systems, process payments, help us understand how people use our Services, and market our Services. These providers may provide us information about you in certain circumstances; for example, app stores may provide us reports to help us diagnose and fix service issues.

How We Use Information

We use all the information we have to help us operate, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market our Services.

Our Services. We operate and provide our Services. We also provide customer support, and improve, fix, and customize our Services. We understand how people use our Services, and analyze and use the information we have mostly in aggregate form to evaluate and improve our Services, research, develop, and test new services and features, and conduct troubleshooting activities. We will use your information to respond to you when you contact us. We use cookies to operate, provide, improve, understand, and customize our Services.

Safety and Security. We verify accounts and activity, and promote safety and security on and off our Services, such as by investigating suspicious activity or violations of our Terms, and to ensure our Services are being used legally.

Communications About Our Services. We communicate with you via email about our Services and features and let you know about our Terms and Policies and other important updates.

No Third-Party Banner Ads. We do not allow third-party banner ads on Outlinx. We have no intention to introduce them, but if we ever do, we will update this policy.

How Your Information is Shared

You share your information as you use and communicate through our Services, and we share your information to help us operate, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market our Services. We do not share your information except in the limited circumstances described below. We may share non-personal information that is aggregated or de-identified so that it cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual.

Account Information. Your first name and last name may be available to anyone who uses our Services. Only Users who have physically scanned the same Outlinx Label have the opportunity to see this information about each other. This information is visible through the comments feature.

Third-Party Providers. We work with third-party providers to help us operate, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market our Services. When we share information with third-party providers, we require them to use your information in accordance with our instructions and terms or with express permission from you.

Affiliated Companies

Outlinx is owned and operated by Yap Lab LLC.

Assignment, Change Of Control, And Transfer

All of our rights and obligations under our Privacy Policy are freely assignable by us to any of our affiliates, in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, or by operation of law or otherwise, and we may transfer your information to any of our affiliates, successor entities, or new owner. In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets you will be notified by us before your information is transferred.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you are entitled to certain rights with respect to your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can exercise these rights by emailing us at support@outlinx.app

Access To Your Information. You have the right to request access to your personal information on Outlinx. You may have access to some of this information in your account settings. You are responsible for maintaining your personal information. If you connected to Outlinx via a third party service such as Google or Facebook, you can revoke access to this third party by changing your settings on the third party service.  

Rectification Of Your Personal Information. You have the right to ask Outlinx to correct your personal information that is either inaccurate or incomplete.

Data Portability. You may be entitled to request a copy of your personal information held by Outlinx and the right to transmit your personal data for use by another party’s service.

Deleting Your Account. You have the right to request that Outlinx erase your personal data and delete your account. You can do this by emailing support@outlinx.app. Outlinx retains personal information for the time period that you use the Application, because we need it to operate your account. If you choose to delete your account, please note that while most of your information will be deleted within 30 days, it may take up to 90 days to delete all of your information. Please note that if you do request that Outlinx delete your data, we may retain some personal information for important business interests, safety concerns, or legal reasons. While we will remove your profile, some information you have provided may remain visible to some users.Furthermore, we back up the platform to protect against any data loss and residual copies of your personal information may still be visible on these backup platforms.

You can also delete your own account anytime by visiting the "Settings" screen and tapping the "Delete My Account" button at the bottom of the list. Deleting your Outlinx account will automatically remove the following information from our database and we won't be able to retrieve it: all Outlinx pages you created; your email, username, and password; all comments you posted; and all images & videos you uploaded. Additionally any Outlinx QR codes you linked to pages will be unlinked. The codes will return to the new unused state. You can always create another account and start over.

Withdrawing Consent. In instances where you previously provided consent to Outlinx to process your information, you have the right to limit or withdraw your consent at any time. This will not impact the lawfulness of the collecting and processing of your data before you withdrew your consent.

Objection to Processing. You may have the right to request that Outlinx stop processing some or all of your personal information for specific purposes at a time when processing this data was legitimate. Outlinx will stop processing your personal information in these instances unless Outlinx is required to continue processing this data for legal reasons.

Complaints. You have the right to lodge complaints about data processing carried out by Outlinx before the relevant body.

Law And Protection

We will protect the privacy of your account. We will not disclose your information to law enforcement or other governmental authorities unless we believe it is required to comply with lawful government requests. We may collect, use, preserve, and share your information if we have a good-faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (i) respond pursuant to applicable law or regulations, to legal process, or to government requests; (ii) enforce our Terms and any other applicable terms and policies, including for investigations of potential violations; (iii) detect, investigate, prevent, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (iv) protect the rights, property, and safety of our users, Outlinx, or others.

Updates To Our Policy

We may amend or update our Privacy Policy. We will provide you notice of amendments to this Privacy Policy, as appropriate, and update the “Last Modified” date at the top of this Privacy Policy. Your continued use of our Services confirms your acceptance of our Privacy Policy, as amended. If you do not agree to our Privacy Policy, as amended, you must stop using our Services. Please review our Privacy Policy from time to time.
